WIRELESS CHARGING COMES TO THE NOOK POD
Do Company, the Bristol based specialist in New Ways Of Working, has partnered with AirchargeTM to incorporate Qi wireless charging in to its NOOKTM portable meeting & work pods.
Following the announcement this week that the new Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone X models will have Qi wireless charging technology, this is a major step forward for the wireless power charging industry with Apple now joining Samsung, Microsoft, LG, Google and Blackberry with Qi enabled technology.
Whilst most new motor vehicles have wireless technology capability, the news from Apple has far reaching implications for furniture design and the deployment of the wireless power infrastructure into offices, hospitality and retail spaces.
Aircharge, the global leader in wireless charging solutions has confirmed that its solutions and eco-system have full compatibility with the new iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X models.
Do Company announce today that it has partnered with Aircharge to incorporate its surface charger model in to the work-surface of the Nook portable meeting & work pod, along with the full range of accessories which enable non-Qi-enabled phones to make use of this technology also.
Nook is a mobile quiet-space for people to meet & work, away from the noise of offices, events and public spaces. In terms of power, it provides mains sockets for common plug types (UK, EU, US), with USB ports for tablets & phones, and now wireless charging too.
Nooks with Aircharge inside have already been produced and are rolling out to events starting with 100% Design in London from 20-23 September and Hotel Tech Live at the Excel Arena, 26/27 September. Customers Virgin Active, RJDM, Innovation Birmingham Campus and Exeter Science Park are today using Aircharge enabled Nooks.
